Basecamp Robotics is where curiosity turns into creation, ideas turn into innovation, and kids learn that the best way to solve a problem is to build, test, learn, and try again.
Based in Virginia, Basecamp Robotics was created to give young students an exciting place to explore robotics, engineering, coding, teamwork, and competition in a hands-on environment.
Our teams are planning to join in VEX IQ Robotics Competition, where students aren't just following instructions—they're designing, building, programming, testing, troubleshooting, and competing with robots they helped bring to life.
We believe robotics is about so much more than the robot. It's about developing the skills that kids can carry with them long after competition day:
🧠 Problem-Solving — Learn to approach challenges from different angles.
🔧 Engineering — Design, build, test, and improve.
💻 Coding — Turn ideas into action through programming.
🤝 Teamwork — Communicate, collaborate, and support one another.
🏆 Competition — Learn how to compete with confidence, sportsmanship, and resilience.
🚀 Confidence — Discover that it's okay to fail, learn from it, and try again.
At Basecamp Robotics, we want kids to be excited about what they're capable of creating. Whether they're picking up a screwdriver for the first time, writing their first lines of code, designing their first robot, or stepping onto the competition field, every challenge is an opportunity to learn something new.
Our goal is simple:
BUILD. CODE. COMPETE.
We’re building more than robots.
We’re building problem-solvers, creators, innovators, and future engineers.
